Adrienne Pope Fagan

Adrienne Pope Fagan is a Wicklow-based artist, working mainly in soft pastels and water mixable oils.

Her work focuses on landscapes and seascapes and she is particularly drawn to expressive skies and atmospheric conditions. Capturing a fleeting moment of light and colour in a scene is an important element of her work.

She developed a love of drawing and painting at a young age and, although she studied science and worked in that field, art was always there in the background. Finally, during Covid, the availability of time and space provided a resurrection of inspiration and from then it has been a full-time immersion into her passion.

She is self-taught but has benefitted enormously from attending a variety of classes and workshops from highly respected artists and tutors. She has recently started to paint en plein air and loves the immediacy and emotional response which can be transferred to the resulting work.

Her paintings have been exhibited in various exhibitions nationally and her work is hanging in private homes in Ireland, UK, Europe, US and Canada.
